for = po dobu
since = od doby, od toho času keď;

Predložky for a since sa najčastejšie používajú s predprítomným časom jednoduchým alebo priebehovým (present perfect simple, present perfect continuous).

We haven´t met for ages/ for the last 3 months/ for a fortnight.
We haven´t met since last October/ since we left school/ since he called me a lier.
Stavové slovesá (na rozdiel od činnostných) zväčša nepoužívajú priebehový čas. (meet, like, know, feel, hope...)

I have been learning English for 6 years/ for a long time/ for a couple of months.
I have been learning English since 2015/ since I was a child/ since we moved to this town.

Takéto vety zvyčajne odpovedajú na otázku "ako dlho"...?. Obe tieto predložky (for - since) majú v angličtine aj iný význam.

Ešte si dovolím Ťa upozorniť, že v úvodnej prosbe máš chybu v slovenčine - oprav si na - potrebujem pomôcť s úlohou. Predložka S sa viaže na inštrumentál (7.pád - s kým, s čím). Predložka Z sa viaže na genitív (2.pád - z koho, z čoho - napr.: Je to úloha z angličtiny.). Ahoj
